BLUE RAY HIGH DEF BIO
Born in 1983, at the Springfield hospital in Springfield, VT. Created by Dennis and Laura Sylvester I went straight from the hospital to the trailer park. Most of my childhood would be spent growing up in this same trailer park, hiking the mountains and finding our own creative ways to cause trouble. Went to Springfield schools till 4th grade, then moved to Lempster NH, and spent some time in their tiny ass school until I moved back to Springfield for 6th grade. Nothing too exciting in that time period. It was about this time however, that I really started to open myself up as my own individual. I started my search of finding myself and not becoming another brick in the wall. This is also the same time that I started to explore music for myself as I was growing a sudden interest. Art was always a big part of my childhood as I was drawing for as long as I can remember. Most of my family, as well as I, thought that my career would be based around such. By the time I started high school, I had pretty much giving up on school. In and out of classes failing everything except art and gym. I moved out of my parent’s house for the 1st time when I was 15, and in with some friends of mine. It didn't last long however, as I found myself in some trouble, and was court ordered to move back home. I was still enrolled in school part way through 10th grade until I moved to Aberdeen Maryland, with some friends of the family, due to some people threatening the lives of some of my friends and I. Seems that some friends of mine took it upon themselves to steal quite a few pounds of weed from the hiding spot of some pretty dangerous people. Needless to say, they were pissed. After about 6 months and a taste of the city life, I was 16 and back in the hills of Vermont living with some friends in a little apartment we called the “crack-less crack house”. I got my G.E.D. and had several full time jobs doing anything from cooking, to laying carpet, to construction and whatever else I could find. Working hard and partying harder. I went to a lot of festivals in those days including, reggae fest, camp creek, and I was even a volunteer for 4 Strangfolk festivals in a row. I met a lot of people and had some crazy wild times but I was never fully into the music at the shows so I decided to start seeing shows that fit my musical taste. Before that my only real show was a Weird Al concert I saw when I was 12. In 2002, at 18 yrs old I went to my first Ozzfest. This is when I received my very first injury in a mosh pit. I got a black eye from some dudes skull while moshing to Phil Anselmo and Down. It was a souvenir I wore home proudly. From then on, I was hooked. Today I've seen dozens and dozens of shows including, 6 Ozzfests in a row, 2 mayhem fests, 3 Locobazookas, and more venues than I could possibly list. Some of my favorite live shows being with bands like Slayer, and Five Finger Death Punch, Hatebreed, and tons more.
I left the "crack-less crack house" to move back into my folks house again. During the move an enemy of mine burned all the drawings I ever saved from my childhood. This was the end of my drawing and I decided my new art would be to focus on my guitar playing, which I started when I was 16. After a short couple of months I found my own apartment in Springfield and my girlfriend and I moved in. We partied the hell out of that place, moving friends into the surrounding apartments and creating a long list of noise complaints and underage drinking fines that our neighbors must have loved. That lasted almost a couple years until my crazy ass landlord stabbed me in my apartment one day over rent that I didn't even owe him. Then he went to the police station and accused me of attacking him! It didn't take anytime at all for the judge to see how crazy he was and after a couple years of shenanigans in court, I was awarded several thousand dollars to which I have still seen not a penny of. Some justice system, he didn't even do any jail time. By this time I'm living my own trailer that I purchased in the same old park I grew up in. I kept my ritual of throwing a party every sat, except there was also about 100 acres of woods to play with so we made a sweet little spot about a 1/4 mile out that we called " The Hobbit Hole". It was around this time that I first met Spanky and Oldboy at some of my parties. Lots of good memories of getting silly at the trailer and in the "Hobbit Hole" but still I was ready to move on from the trailer park, so after a couple years, and a couple trailers of fun, I finally decided at 24 years of age that it was time to own my own house. It was a long annoying process that took like 7 or 8 months, but finally, on Halloween '08 I threw my first huge bash in my new home. Then on Nov 5th "08, the house was officially signed over to me. Yeah the party was like a week before I actually owned the place, but I'm not one to fuck around.
Now I'm a CNC machinist/programmer at Lucas Industries in N.Springfield, rocking my job, rocking my house, rocking this show with Spanky Payne, and still partying like a teenager! I still jam on my guitar and have had a few projects on and off but so far nothing huge as I'm still looking for the right chemistry. For now I'll just keep working hard and partying harder. Everything I do is for fun. I don't accept bad days, only good challenges. As I tell everyone I know, I can do anything!!
