Payne Radio
Show started in November of 2009, When Spanky Payne became a member of
WOOL FM in Bellows Falls, Vermont. Once Spanky was told he could have a
show, he started asking bands to come on his show and decided to get a
Co-Host. He tried one person that was unreliable, So he called up Blue
Ray and Oldboy.
Spanky Payne and Blue Ray started booking bands for the Radio show.
We had a lot of fun at WOOL FM but they had some problems with our Broadcast. First they had a problem with us giving out prizes from local business'. Then they had a problem with one of Blue Ray's Top Ten, Then they started listen to every show trying to get us for every little thing we did. The board had a problem with us because we had a different style then all the other shows..
The Show was canceled May 2010. We had a good run.
Since WOOL FM Canceled us, the people that like our show have had us hosting there live show. None of them worked out so well. Barnaby's was bad booking. They told us to go on at Ten PM then they changed it to mid-night then they changed it to 2AM. Then the band we were going to open for was told they couldn't play. So we went on for 5 mins. We were a bit pissed but oh well. Then We hosted a CD Release Party for The Midnight Saints at The 802 Music in Springfield, Vermont. That was a mess from the start. The girl that was part of the staff and the sound was turning us low down and she didn't want the show to happen. There was some good give a ways, but this girl pissed off everyone. She killed the show, no wounder the 802 Music club is shutting down.
Right now, Spanky Payne is looking for a CO-HOST for his new show on WIUV of Castleton, Vermont. Blue Ray left the show, telling us he was too busy with his band. The Station does reach very far but there is a internet broadcast, but it is pretty low on the volume and quality. We have no set date and time yet.
