PUNK IN THE PARK started in 2001 with Mike Bikey (Spelling) .  Mike was the guitar player of The Scams started booking local shows, then to have the idea lets bring Punk to the Main Street Park.
The 1st year was a blast, people of all type were there to enjoy something to new in area.
2nd Year Tommy Welch also from The Scams decided that someone should pass this on.
 3rd Year John aka Spanky Payne & Scott Frank of The band Morpheus didn't hear that there was going to be a Punk in the Park. That was something we all looked forward to.. Spanky & Scott and there band Morpheus was a part of Punk in the Park since the 1st Punk in the Park. It became a planned thing every year. So ended taking over.4 & 5 Year it was still Spanky and Scott planning the shows. Punk in the Park 5 put a hold to Punk in the Park.
The Parks Department was not happy with all the rules getting broken. Years went by Bands broke up. No one thought that there was going to ever be a Punk in the Park again. Five years late r Spanky got in a Band Carrion and said hell yeah lets try Punk in the Park again. So in 2011 Punk in the Park 6 happened. Here we are again planning Punk in the Park 7.
This is a Show that has to keep going and growing. When at these shows you can see kids running around playing, playing with there dogs, dancing, mosh and just people having fun.
